Another consultation! On London Road cycle lane extension

London Road Cycle lane Extension, Wharton Road to Stile Road

Oxfordshire County Council is consulting the public on its proposals to improve cycling facilities on London Road, Headington, between Stile Road and Wharton Road. The aim of the proposal is to improve the safety for cyclists travelling westbound.

The works will include converting the existing footway to a cycle track and converting two Pelican crossings to Toucan crossings. The cycle track will be both segregated and unsegregated, with the unsegregated section being from the junction of Stile Road to the existing cycle racks.

These proposals have been developed with consideration for the introduction of a new cycle facility on the same side of the road but for the section between Gladstone and Wharton Road, this scheme has already been consulted and is now at the handover stage for delivery.

If you have any comments concerning the proposals please contact me in writing or by email. If you wish to object to the proposed scheme please state clearly the reason for your objection.

Please note the closing date for this consultation is Sunday 12th October 2014. Under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 this Council is obliged to make any representations received in response to this consultation open to public inspection.
