A resident has alerted us to a very useful Freedom of Information request concerning collection bags. It would appear that at least three ‘charitable organisations’ have put collection requests through Headington doors without house to house collection permits
1) The following collectors have current House to House Collection Permits issued by Oxford City Council for the specified dates:

The Leukaemia Care Society – 01.06.2014 to 31.05.2015
Sri Lankan Muslim Community Foundation Of Milton Keynes – 16.09.2014 to 05.10.2014
Child And Teenager Cancer Leukaemia – 16.06.2014 to 30.11.2014
Kids Out UK – 01.04.2014 to 31.03.2015
Margaret Green Animal Rescue Animal Sanctuary – 01.04.2014 to 31.03.2015

If you receive door to door collection requests from an organisation which is NOT on the above list, please report it to the Council on 01865 252561 to check if specific collectors hold the relevant permits.
