Norton Close parking

The County Council is proposing  to remove a disabled bay in Norton Close which is no longer required. The space will be restored to resident parking.

We believe it is likely that Norton Close residents will welcome this. You may send comments to the County Council by the 16th May and the decision will be made in June. For further details, please get in touch with Roz, David or Ruth.

Larkins Lane latest

Good and bad news for residents in Larkins Lane who asked us for the gullies to be cleared. We asked the council to survey these and damage was found. This damage was caused by the contractors who undertook work on the street light recently for the county council and will be repaired as soon as the schedule will allow.

Overflowing litter bin in Bury Knowle Park

While we were in the Park on Wednesday evening, we were both heartened and saddened at the sight of a small child trying very hard to throw away a sweet wrapper in an over full bin. Despite her best efforts she couldn’t find anywhere to put it.

We reported this to the Parks Dept and are finding out if the frequency of emptying litter bins can be stepped up. We don’t want to deter our youngest residents from doing their best for the community!
