Lib Dem MEP Catherine Bearder has kindly agreed to lead a session discussing the implications of the referendum and how remainers of all parties and none should respond. This event is open to all.

Headington Singers will be putting on a very special concert as part of its 30^th anniversary series. Called ‘Requiem’, the concert’s main work will be John Rutter’s Requiem, written in 1985 and a firm favourite ever since. There will also be poetry, prose and song.

Test Drive the Future is an opportunity for people to test drive an array of electric vehicles, including a BMW i3, Tesla, Mitsubishi plug-in hybrid, Kia Soul, Nissan Leaf and more.

You also have the opportunity to have a look around the latest cutting edge electric vehicles, including BMW’s i8 and Riversimple’s hydrogen-fuelled car – the only car of its kind in the UK.

The event is also an opportunity for people to listen to talks about developments in electric vehicle science and engineering, build a solar-powered model car in a competition that will be judged by Red Dwarf actor and electric vehicle enthusiast Robert Llewellyn, meet Artie the Robot, and more.

Test Drive the Future, which is kindly sponsored by BMW North Oxford and organised by Oxford City Council, will take place at Magdalen College School in Cowley Place between 11am and 4pm on Sunday (19 June).

You may be interested to hear about a EU Referendum Business Debate that is being organised by the European Movement at Oxford Brookes University in Headington this Wednesday.

Dinesh Dhamija, former Chairman and CEO of Ebookers will speaking for why remaining in the EU is the best choice for small & medium sized business, while Garry Heath, former DG of the IFA Association, will be aiming to convince the audience that small and medium sized businesses would be better off leaving the EU. The debate is being hosted by Prof. Alistair Fitt, Vice-Chancellor, and will be joined by Nick Jeffrey, Director of Public Policy for Grant Thornton.

The debate is open to all and is free.
