The City Council is looking for an actor to take on the role of William White for the opening event of the new Explore Oxford galleries on Saturday 23 June. William White was the City Engineer when the current Town Hall opened in 1897. One of the new galleries is a re-creation of his office and will be used to help tell visitors the story of the city. If you know someone who may be interested in taking on the role of William White for this event, please contact us! David is alas unavailable.

You are welcome to send in comments on the City Council’s draft three year Culture Strategy – please click here for the web page. The consultation ends on June 8th. Pothole alert in Old Headington
Just to let you all know that David and I have requested that the pothole in St Andrew’s Road is repaired urgently.
There appears to have been a lot of damage to road surfaces following the prolonged period of rain, and the state of the main London Road is quite poor in places, please let your councillors know of any more pothole blackspots!
