Fraud and Cyber Prevention Fair

A Headington resident reported a new scam after being called by them himself, as reported by the Oxford Mail on 12 March. The scam involves a call from perpetrators pretending to be from BT and tries to trick callers out of their credit card details. They demand money for unpaid bills from customers, and involves disconnecting the line to prove they are from BT.

All members of the community are invited. The event is being held by Thames Valley Police and members of the Neighbourhood Team will be there to answer questions.
