Oxford City Council wants to become one of the first authorities to stipulate that all food containers should be recyclable or biodegradable.

It is also considering a recommendation that traders must be more than 100m from secondary schools and colleges during the daytime, and  to improve food standards across the city it is proposed that all traders must maintain a minimum food hygiene rating of 3 or above.
