Many residents have complained to us about regular sewage flooding in Old Headington. A foul sewer runs down Osler Road from outside Ivy Lane Flats, turns right along St Andrew’s Road, and backs up from the junction with Laurel Farm Close. This causes the manhole cover to lift in Osler Road causing sewage to flow down the hill. This happened last week and the blockage was due to fat and grease. While we investigate this further, Thames Water is carrying out a leaflet drop to residents in the area to advise folk about what you can and can’t flush down the drains.
