Tonight’s meeting of Full Council adopted the Barton Area Action plan as amended with modifications in response to the Inspector’s findings. The boulevard option has been dropped, and the Board member stated that the plans  for housing development on Ruskin fields were unlikely to return.

We still have concerns about access, amenities and effects on traffic congestion – the devil will be in the detail
